WinSport Canada’s Athletic and Ice Complex has been home to Canada’s national women’s under-22/development team for nearly two weeks and now they’ll be put to the test.
The Canadian squad will battle the United States in a three-game series, beginning Thursday (7 p.m.) at WinSport’s AIC, the new home to Hockey Canada. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday (7 p.m.), while Sunday’s puck drop is set for 10 a.m. All three games are scheduled for WinSport’s Rink A. There is free admission to all three games.
Canada’s team includes forwards Brianne Jenner and Marie-Philip Poulin, along with defenceman Laura Fortino, who were members of Canada’s gold-medal winning team from the 2012 IIHF world women’s hockey championship.
